Come and run the leafy paths of Bournville, in a scenic run to suit all abilities and help raise funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Entry is available online here or you can download a form here. 

Entry costs £6 (UKA affiliated)  and £9 (unaffiliated) or £7/£10 on the day.

Location

Race HQ is Rowheath Pavilion, Heath Road, Bournville B30 1HH, which can be found here and has ample off-road parking.  Here you will find race registration and other facilites.

The race start is to the side of the Pavilion and finish is over the road on the playing fields.

Route

An improved two lap multiterrain course on paths and parkland. The race is fully marshalled.

Fundraising

Our chosen charity this year is Acorn's Children's Hospice, and race proceeds will go to this very worthy cause.  We would also be delighted if runners would raise further money through sponsorship. 

The following are examples of how the money raised is put to good use:

• £19 1 hour of care for 1 child
• £450 1 full day and night of specialist respite care for 1 child
• £4,500 To run 1 of our hospices for 1 day
• £150-200 An activity in the hospice, such as a theatre group visit or disco night
• £200-700 An outing such as a cinema trip, day at the seaside or night at the comedy club
• £30 Aromatherapy/massage for 1 child
• £40 Music therapy session for 1 child
• £50 Hydrotherapy session for 1 child

Prizes

First three male & female finishers, winner in each vet category, first men's and women's teams of three club runners + spot prizes.

Results & Photos

Like last year, we'll be aiming to get results and photos on the website same-day.

Refreshments

We will be serving hot and cold drinks, barbeque food and cakes.

Facilities

The Pavilion has toilets, changing facilities and showers.
