My sister and I completed the South Shropshire Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, which is based north of Ludlow.  It is a very friendly triathlon and welcomes a wide range of abilities, apparently somebody did backstroke to complete the swimming section!  The swim was a 400m pool swim and the 26km cycle was through the beautiful Shropshire countryside, mainly on quiet lanes.  The run was also in the countryside but unfortunately alongside a moderately busy road, however on the plus side out and back and 6.25k.  I would definitely recommend this triathlon to all Bournville Harriers, particularly for anybody new to triathlon – extremely friendly and welcoming event.   

I am now nervously awaiting the results to see if I beat my sister or if she was faster than me…
